Chris

Chris Shearman is the founder and Executive Director of Lutheran Development Group. Chris has a history of dedication to South City. Chris and his wife Dana have lived in Compton Heights on Saint Louis’s near south side since 2004 having renovated a house there for their family. Chris has been involved in community development through real-estate investment, entrepreneurship, and organizational volunteerism. After two years in downtown loft development, Chris and his wife, Dana, opened Gelateria Del Leone, a community focused cafe. They soon moved the business to South Grand, where Chris became active in the management of local organizations including Messiah Lutheran Church, the Greater Gravois Initiative, and the local South Grand Community Improvement District.

Jarred

Jarred is the Community Coordinator at Lutheran Development Group.  A Saint Louis native, Jarred has traveled many places and met many people, but he feels most at home in south city.  After meeting his wife, Ana at college in Indiana, a move back to Saint Louis was their calling, living and working in South City for about six years. Jarred loves working with neighborhood partners to see the community grow and flourish, and loves to invite people from the neighborhood to connect via block parties or other gatherings.  Jarred hopes to see everyone love their neighborhood in Saint Louis the way he loves living here.  He spends most of his time connecting people to new opportunities to help them feel at home in their community, and he is usually hanging out somewhere around Dutchtown, Bevo, or Holly Hills.
